Every life is a gift
We will never live a trouble or pain free life but with each event, each heartbreak, each disaster that you live through will make you stronger, wiser more able to bear the difficulties of life and hopefully realize that these things are not sent to test us but rather to teach us and all we have to do is live through them and learn from them. Every lesson is a gift, every life is a gift, accept it and receive it graciously.
Struggling doesn’t make you a burden
Everyone has a difficult time coping, and at times, we all fall apart. During these times, we aren’t always easy to be around — and that’s okay. No one is easy to be around one hundred percent of the time. Yes, you may sometimes be unpleasant or difficult. And yes, you may sometimes do or say things that make the people around you feel helpless or sad.
But those things aren’t all of who you are and they certainly don’t discount your worth as a human being. The truth is that you can be struggling and still be loved. You can be difficult and still be cared for. You can be less than perfect, and still be deserving of compassion and kindness.

A resident of the area, who narrated the incident to Juliet blog over the phone on Wednesday, said the film crew, including a popular actor (name withheld), had gone to the area to shoot a scene from their new flick, which talks about cancer, but that some youths in the area insisted on collecting the land charges from the crew before the scene could be shot.
However, the company reportedly refused to part away with their money, which angered the suspected hoodlums and then allegedly started to damage the company’s properties. It was further gathered that the police came to the scene and it then resulted into a clash between the police and the alleged street urchins.
According to reports, the deceased died after he was hit by a bullet from a police officer's rifle.
The state commissioner, Ambrose Aisabo, who confirmed the incident, reportedly disclosed that his men had no choice than to release the shot when the atmosphere became nervous
Meet the Indian Conjoined Twins who are Worshipped as gods and say They
The twins share two legs and four arms and work in tandem to get around. They are believed to share the same stomach but have independent lungs, hearts and brains.
The twins are able to walk down the stairs of their simple split-level home and even run on all six limbs to play cricket and other games with neighbouring children. And with practice they have learned to do all their
basic daily chores with minimal fuss, including showering, eating, getting dressed and combing each other's hair. They are also talented academics and considered among the top students at their local school, much to the pride of their doting father, Raj Kumar, 45, who also has five daughters.
Doctors believe it's possible to separate the twins - but there will be drastic consequences for Shivanath, who appears to be the weaker of the two twins. Shivram would likely keep both legs and could start living a more normal life while Shivanath would be left with no legs and needing full-time care.
Hence the twins and their father are adamant they will not be parted. Their father said:
‘For everyone it is good fun to watch my children, but only I understand all the problems they have. During rainy season it becomes difficult for them to walk and when one wants to sit the other has to lie down.
But they don't fight. They have similar opinions and if one says he wants to play the other one agrees. God has created them like this so they have to walk like they do. They will remain like this. I don't want anything else. Even if doctors say so, I won't get my children separated. I have no interest in money. I'm the one who will work hard to nourish them. I don't need any help.’
Shivram also said:
‘We don't wish to get separated. We will stay like this even when we grow old. We want to live as we are.

"I Don't Think I Am Mentally Ready For Marriage" - Ice Prince
"I don’t think I am planning to get married now because am still young, I’m in my youth and moreover, I am just 27 years old. Maybe later in my late thirties I can start planing to get married or not.But are you in any serious relationship, and any plan of settling down with your baby mama ?
It’s because I still have a long way to go before thinking of settling down. I can’t say because of what I have, that I am okay to get married, no. I don’t think I am mentally ready for marriage. I think before one could get married, one needs to attain certain level of understanding and awareness. I don’t think I have those qualities just yet.
Yeah , but I wouldn’t want to talk about my girlfriend and about the mother of my baby. She is good and we are not talking about getting married because I’m not ready yet

SHOCKING PHOTO: Lagos Policemen Kill Undergraduate And Friend In A Gruesome Lynching
Policemen attached to the Badagry Police Division, Lagos State, and some hoodlums have been accused of killing a 25-year-old undergraduate of Delta State University, Ifechukwude Nwainokpor, and his friend, identified simply as Kazeem.
An eight-minute video clip of the gruesome killing showed the two victims handcuffed together. They were covered in their own blood and beaten to death with sticks. Tyres were also put round their necks.
An irate mob could be seen in the video, shouting, “die, die, burn them, burn them.”
At some points in the video, a policeman was seen interviewing the boys. He asked who sent them (victims) to rob the area, an accusation they denied. One of the hoodlums, holding a sharp object attempted to cut off the private part of one of the victims. Continue...
Nwainokpor could be seen pleading with the hoodlums and policemen to spare his life, saying he could identify himself if given a chance. His plea, however, fell on deaf ears.
A source, who visited the family of Nwainokpor on Tuesday, learnt that the lynching took place around 3pm on July 21, 2013 in Ajara area of Badagry, a community not far from Nwainokpor’s family home.
His father, Samuel said that his son was arrested while passing through a street in the area but a misunderstanding later ensued and the hoodlums pounced on him and Kazeem.
He added that Nwainokpor, who was nicknamed Ify, was a final year student of Geology and Mining.
He said, “On that particular day, I was in Ghana when I received a telephone call that I should come immediately. My wife was in Delta State taking care of her mother.
“When I arrived two days later, my relatives and the caretaker of my house told me that my son was killed in the Ajara area along with his friend. I was devastated.
“I got my son a temporary job with a Customs licensed agent since their lecturers were on strike. He worked everyday except on Sundays when he visited his friends. On that day, he went to see Kazeem and they were strolling around Ajara.”
He added that when the youth saw two unknown young men, they accosted them and an argument ensued.
He said the youth called the head of the vigilante group in the area, one Asiribo.
He said, “Asiribo came to the scene with a locally-made pistol and handcuffs. He handcuffed my son and his friend before asking them questions.
“Later, it was decided that the boys be taken to the Baale, Agano Oniyon of Agamade Ajara. But as they were going, Asiribo, while trying to return his gun into its pouch, mistakenly shot himself in the stomach and died.”
Samuel said Asiribo’s death infuriated the youth, who blamed the boys for his death.“The mob picked up sticks and beat them to death. Policemen were there,” he said.
Holding back tears, the retired immigration officer added that the police treated the matter as a robbery case. Beating his chest, Samuel said there was no way his son would have been involved in armed robbery.
Nwainokpor’s boss, Aloysius Onyenibedi, described him as an honest and hardworking person.
“I trusted him to the extent that I used to keep a lot of money with him. He was good to my children and was honest,” he said.
The Nwainokpor family berated the Divisional Police Officer, Badagry Police Station, Dankoli Mohammed, for the manner he treated the case.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, said, “The incident is quite pathetic. Even if they were armed robbers, no one has the right to take the life of another. Why then do we have the police and the judiciary? The Nigerian police as well as the law condemn mob action and jungle justice. The commissioner of police has set up a high-powered investigation body to investigate the matter.”

Court awards man N5 million for unlawful detention over online comments.......
The Judge declared the detention of the man by the police as illegal and unconstitutional.......
Bonny Nwankwo | Premium Times April 8,2014 A South African based Nigerian who was arrested for a comment he made on an online forum has been awarded N5 million by the Federal High Court in Apo, Abuja. Bonny Okonkwo was abducted by some Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, officers at his residence on July 13, 2013 for a comment he made about billionaire businessman, Emeka Offor, on an online forum known as ocean-anaedo. |
The Judge, Peter Afeen, declared the detention of Mr. Bonny by the police as illegal and unconstitutional and ordered the police to pay N5 million to the victim for the unlawful detention.
On July 13, last year, shortly after arriving Lagos from Johannesburg, Mr. Bonny was arrested at his home by SARS Officers wielding AK 47 guns.
After six days in solitary confinement in a Lagos holding cell, he was transferred to Abuja where he was further detained for eleven days.
It was during his detention that he was told that his ordeal was on the orders of Emeka Offor, a Nigerian ruling party politician and billionaire businessman.
When PREMIUM TIMES contacted the police representative in the case, F.A. Longe, to ask about the judgement that was passed and if the police would comply, he said he was not in the court and threatened to lay a curse on PREMIUM TIMES.
“Why are you calling me, I was not at the court today so why would you be calling me. In fact how did you get my number, I want to know why you would be calling me at this time of the day,” he said. “Okay so you tell me the judgement and what you want to know that makes you call me this night, in fact don’t make me lay a curse you.”
Military Persecuting Nigerian Muslims, Says Sultan Of Sokoto’s Group
The allegation was contained in a statement distributed by the Islamic body, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI). The Sultan of Sokoto chairs the body. The JNI demanded that the Federal Government and others concerned must urgently address the issue, adding that the mistreatment of Muslims was getting out of hand.
In a statement signed titled ‘MILITARY OPERATION AND THE PERSECUTION OF INNOCENT MUSLIMS; THE KILLING OF 15 MUSLIMS IN KEANA AND THE MASSACRE IN ZAMFARA STATE’ and signed by the group’s scribe, Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, the JNI stated:
“The dimension of extra judicial killing of Muslims by the military on a mere whim of unsubstantiated suspicion leaves much to be desired, which clearly depicts that Muslims have become endangered species, murdered and maimed indiscriminately in the guise of fighting terrorism. The sad incident of Keana 15 is another scenario where the settlements of innocent Muslims were mercilessly massacred. These are people who have been exonerated by the State Governor as being peace loving people and law abiding. It is questionable that an operation of this magnitude would be carried-out without the knowledge of the Chief Security Officer of the State, nor other relevant security bodies. JNI is concerned that the perpetrators of these genocidal acts against Muslims may go scot-free as it was the case with Apo Killings and other similar heinous acts.
The Benue state governor and his deputy have recently exonerated the Fulani of Benue for the long outstanding relationship and social cohesion between them. The social joke between them lives for almost a century. How can all this suddenly change and the next neighbor is accused because of his simplicity and unsophistication?
“The various reports of human rights abuses and massacre of hundreds of Muslims in Maiduguri by the military, as reported by human rights groups, [are] painful and unacceptable. [There are] criminals on [the] one hand and the supposed protectors of the innocent on the other, in front is a lion and behind are wolves.
“We have found the usage of the term Fulani herdsmen, hiding their religious identity, an attempt to wipe out Muslims in the guise of fighting terrorism, as it suits the situation, and using Muslim terrorist as it suits the other situation as absurd. Why is it when a Christian commits a crime it is not called a Christian crime or terrorism? The fact remains, [a] crime is [a] crime[:] it is colorless, tribeless and religiousless.
“It is sad to note that a Muslim milk maid, a mother of five, was molested and killed by a military man around Dei-Dei area of the Federal Capital Territory. We are not aware of any step taken by the military authority on the matter. As usual they will buy time and the case will die naturally.
“We can say without any fear of contradiction that there is a grand agenda to destabilize the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria. If any Nigerian is in doubt regarding the hidden grand agenda to destabilize Muslims in Nigeria, and cautiously reduce their rising human capital, then the Zamfara State incidence should have removed this doubt. An event where vigilante personnel working to restore peace would be the subject of a grand massacre, tells much about the chaos and insecurity some enemies want to push our states into. We call on all our Governors, politicians and indeed every well-meaning citizen to do something before it gets out of hand.
“Where is the human rights compliance and rule of engagement by the military personnel involved in maintaining peace and security? Why are the defaulting military personnel not brought to book for [deterrence] and forestalling future occurrence? The military should know that it is extremely dangerous to polarize security agencies along religious line. It will have far reaching negative effect in the country, especially at this material time, where the efforts of all are required to cushion the effect of the pains we are passing through.
“JNI unequivocally condemns the extra judicial killing of 15 Fulani Muslims in Keana, the molesting and subsequent killing of Binta Usman, the milk maid and all the human rights abuses on innocent Muslims in Maiduguri. We strongly call for bringing to justice the perpetrators of transgression against innocent citizens who have the right to practice the religion they choose.”
