Clarion Chukwura throws another punch at Ibinabo Fiberesima

Veteran actress Clarion Chukwura has announced her intent of contesting for the Actor’s Guild presidency position currently held by Ibinabo Fiberesima and laying the path to achieving her aim with subtle punches aimed at Ibinabo’s lack of leadership including her recent interview with Ecomium Magazine:

“Thank you very much. It gives me a great concern that we continue to face this kind of issue in this country. Rather than determine the merit of the issues that are being raised, people will misdirect the whole point to be a personality attack. I do not have anything whatsoever against Ibinabo Fiberesima. Ibinabo as a person is a friend of mine. I have known her since the 80s when she was running a night club. So, Ibinabo Fiberesima, as a person, is not the issue. The issue is that she succeeded in a very commendable field which is accessing an appointment to see the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at a time like this when the President is engaged in all fronts. It was a mighty opportunity that was given to her on a platter of gold.

My grouse is what did she do with it? It’s about the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Ibinabo Fiberesima led a delegation to see the President as AGN president. This is the constitution as amended for her (shows reporter a copy), which part of this constitution did she use that visit to actualize? She asked for political appointment which is an attempt to destroy the guild. AGN is not a group established for lobbying for political offices. This is an association of creative people not politicians.”

BREAKING NEWS: Boko Haram Bombs Bridge Linking Nigeria To Cameroon

Terrorist group, Boko Haram has reportedly bombed a small bridge linking Nigeria to Cameroon on Thursday, May 8, 2014.

The bombing occurred in the outskirts of Gamboru Ngala, the same village of the Monday attack that claimed the lives of over 300.

According to Sahara Reporters:

At least 30 people were killed during the late Thursday afternoon bombing incident, sources tell SaharaReporters. The bridge links the immigration check points of both Cameroon and Nigeria.
The bombing event took place on the same day of a mass burial in the town of Gamboru Ngala. It was there on Monday where a Boko Haram-led raid on the small village claimed the lives of over 300 residents, nearly ten per cent of the population.

Sources tell SaharaReporters that 315 people of the 336 who died in the Monday attack were buried in a solemn ceremony led by civic and religious leaders.

The Boko Haram has not claimed responsibility for this latest bombing attack, but residents of Gamboru Ngala told us that there is deep suspicion that the Islamist group is behind this latest attack in this vulnerable area.

Since the Monday attacks many of the local Gamboru Ngala youth have joined an anti-Islamist vigilante force in the smoldering village. It was created and scores of young people are helping Nigerian military forces in the area.

Graphic pics: Suspected female ritualist set ablaze by a mob in Abule Egba

Can the Lagos State government please make jungle justice a crime punishable by many years in prison? This can't continue happening. We as citizens can't keep taking the laws into our hands. Other wise innocent people will suffer too. The pics from this scene is so gory, I don't know if I should share it.

The woman pictured above was accused of attempting to to kidnap the primary school pupils in the Ekoro area of Abule-Egba, Lagos yesterday May 6th. Eye-witnesses claim the woman stopped the kids, who were aged 7-10 years as they were going to school, and asked to take them to school.

Then a female hawker in the area, suspecting the woman was up to no good, alerted others in the area who then surrounded the woman and started asking her questions. They say the woman they were her children but couldn't give their names and the direction she was taking them wasn't where their school was...plus the children said they didn't know her and before anyone could stop it, they descended on the woman. Beating her to a stupor and then setting her ablaze.

See the gory pics from the scene after the cut...will take it down in a bit...

18year old Boy Defiles, Kills, then Hangs his Landlord’s 4-year-old Daughter

Franklin Njoku, pictured above, a Senior School Certificate Examination candidate who rented a room in a house belonging to one Mr Eze, is currently in police custody after he lured his landlord's four-year-old daughter into the bush, defiled the little girl,  murdered her then hanged her on a dwarf palm tree near their house.

Nigerian Tribune reports that Franklin Njoku, aged 18 years from Ohekelem in Ngorokpala Local Government Area of the state was in Uvuru community to sit for the ongoing West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) at Aboh Mbaise Secondary School, Uvuru.

Since Njoku’s village is quite a distance from Uvuru, his parents decided to rent a room to reduce the stress of having to commute between the two communities on a daily basis. Njoku was able to secure accommodation in Eze’s compound. The Ezes received Njoku with open hands as one of their tenants. He became close to all members of the family, including the late 4 year old Gloria.

However, it was gathered that Njoku began to show special interest in little Gloria and was drawing her close to him with small gifts. The parents did not see anything out of the ordinary in this, thinking that it was just his way of appreciating the hand of fellowship extended to him by the family.

Things, however, got out of hand when one day, Njoku allegedly enticed Gloria with sweets and lured her into a nearby bush where he allegedly had carnal knowledge of the girl after which he strangled her to death.

To cover his tracks, Njoku was said to have tied a rope round the neck of the little girl and subsequently hanged the lifeless body of Gloria on a dwarf palm tree to give the impression that his victim committed suicide. However, the lid blew open on his act as a neighbour was said to have seen him while trying to hang the body of the girl on the palm tree.

The neighbour raised the alarm and the suspect was quickly rounded up by some youths in the community. He would have been lynched by the angry youth if not for the timely intervention of the victim’s family and some other prominent citizens in the area who pleaded with them to exercise restraint. He was subsequently handed over to the police.

Parading the suspect at the police headquarters in Owerri, last week, the state commissioner of police, Alhaji Abdulmajid Ali, said the suspect lured the victim into the bush, defiled her and subsequently killed her.

When questioned by newsmen, the suspect admitted to committing the crime saying he was pushed into doing it by Satan. He, however, pleaded for leniency. However, the commissioner, while fielding questions from reporters, said that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the police concluded their investigation into the matter.

PHOTO: Police Watch Helplessly As Female Kidnapper Burns To Ashes In Lagos

An angry mob set ablaze a suspected female kidnapper on Tuesday on Ekoro Road at Abule Egba area of Lagos after she was caught with three children.
The woman was said to have kidnapped the three children who were on their way to school in the area at about 7a.m this morning while pretending she was taking them to school but she ran out of luck as she was spotted by a bread seller who raised an alarm.

Crowd gather to watch the incident
According to an eyewitness who identified himself as Ikisa, she tried to escape but was caught by a mob. When she was questioned on the ownership of the children, she claimed they were hers but when they realized she was lying, they beat her thoroughly, hung a tyre on her neck, poured petrol on her and set her ablaze.
Other sources said the unidentified woman came with a jeep which she parked at a distance and the car was later taken to the Oke-Odo Police Station, while others said she wanted to take the children into a tricycle before she was caught.
Policemen from the Oke-Odo Police Station watched helplessly as she had burnt completely before they got to the scene.
Residents however expressed satisfaction over the jungle justice meted out to the woman, saying that if she had been taken to the Police Station,  she would have been set free by the police.
A policeman, who pleaded anonymity said that no arrest could be made as it could be ascertained who set the woman ablaze.
The police could also not confirm whether the woman came with a jeep or whether the jeep had been taken to the station or not as the Divisional Police Officer of Oke-Odo Police said he was at a meeting.
Jungle justice is becoming very rampant. Just yesterday, a woman was burnt to death in Ondo state while three suspected kidnappers were set ablaze in Ogun state about two weeks ago.

Human parts dealer issues price list, says skull sells for N20,000

A 54year old grandmother Sukuratu Salami was yesterday May 5th paraded by the Lagos state police command alongside her accomplices, for her involvement in ritual killings and human parts sales.

In her confessional statement, Madam Sukuratu said she  sold human heads for N20,000 to willing buyers and that greed made her go into the business.
"A herbalist approached me last year and demanded for human parts. When he told me how much they buy the parts, I was tempted. I approached one Tantoloun, who works in a grave yard. He sold a skull for N10,000 and I sold it in return for N20,000. Greed made me to continue until I was arrested. I buy pieces of bones for N2,000, liver and intestines for N1,000 each and resell for N5,000 or more depending on the buyer’s bargaining power. I am not a killer. I have never killed anyone. I only request for decomposed human parts. I needed the money to feed my 3 children aged 30, 27 and 23. Those who patronize me are herbalists and trado-medical practitioners. The parts are used to prepare concoction for sick children. So far, I have only sold 10 human skulls.” she said.

Paraded with her was a cemetery worker, Rasheed Tantoloun  and two others who were arrested by men of the Lagos state Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Joju area of Sango Ota, in possession of  human head, intestines, bones, kidney and other human parts.

Rasheed in his statement said whenever his boss told him to dig up old gaves to make way for new burials, he would exhume this bodies and then sell them with the help of one Ibrahim whom he hired

"Anytime old corpses are exhumed, we usually collect the parts and sell to ready buyers who are usually agbo sellers (herbs dealers). My salary is N5,000 a month but since I started doing the business, I made three times more than the amount. We also dug corpses buried without caskets" he said

His accomplice, Ibrahim Waheed who says he is an Arabic teacher said he was paid N3,000 for exhuming dead bodies. In his statement, he said “we usually tamper with dead bodies buried without caskets and those whose relatives never showed up after burial. My job is to exhume and dismember the bodies and at the end of which I would be paid N3,000".

According to the state Police Commissioner, Umar Tanko, luck however ran out on them when men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS got wind of their illicit business and decided to pose as prospective buyers

"Detectives led by the SARS commander, Abba Kyari, posed as buyers and bought a human head from Salami at N120,000. After arresting the suspects, Salami’s house was searched during which a human head, liver, intestines and other parts were found. We picked interest in this case because of the disappearances of people. With their arrest, we hope that we’ll get to the root of these disappearances. We discovered that most of these bodies are fresh. It is criminal to deal in human parts. A few weeks back, Soka Forest was discovered in Ibadan. As you can see, this crime happens all over" he said.

Mum Accused Of Beating Her Children With Knife And Cutlass [Photos]

A woman who cooks, washes, bathes and defecates in a single room which she shares with her four young children has been accused of brutally assaulting them. According to a report by the The Nation, Mrs Toyin Abiodun beats her children with knife, cutlass, belt and iron. The boy pictured right is her first son and you can all the marks on his head and face, and his dislocated arm..all thanks to the woman he calls mother.

From The Nation

Mrs. Toyin  Abiodun lives with her four children in a one-room apartment at Number 24, Adekunle  Street, Akute- Odo ,  Ogun State. In her room she cooks, eats, washes her clothes and dishes. She and her four children defecate, and have their bath in the same room.
According to her co-tenants, Toyin abuses her children by locking them up and using cutlass, knife and belt to beat them. Evidence of this is on their bodies. Their heads and bodies are full of scars while their hands are dislocated. The eldest of the kids , Dejitade,11, in  Z  I Primary School , Akute School Two!

When The Nation got to the school, the teachers (who begged for anonymity ) described the situation of  the three children as pathetic, "we are so afraid and full of pity for these kids and we had to report the incident to our community head , Oba Aleeh Idowu Akindele.”

According to the children, their mother would give them caps to cover their heads in order to avoid the scars from being seen or discovered. The other girl has a strange big Bob Marley strands of over 500 woven on her head to cover the scars on her head. The hair looked weird as it is too heavy for such a small girl of four!

One of the teachers with misty eyes  said, “The eldest one is in Primary Two at age 11, yet he cannot read or identify numbers one to four, he is always afraid and his speech is blurred  and  could no longer reason  well, this is as a result of abuse from her mother.” Another teacher who was full of pity said “The children are always afraid to go home when it is time for them to go.They said their mother used to beat them with any object from knife, cutlass, belt to iron. These kids need to be rescued before it is too late.”

However, at school the  first born is said to have been affected psychologically as he does not know how to identify numbers and cannot identify any of the alphabets. Another teacher said “these children’s bodies are full of scars, the first born Dejitade is about 11years old but he said he is nine, he is in Primary Two. He does not speak properly while his hands have broken as he has dislocation. How can an 11-year-old boy be in Primary Two and still does not speak properly? I believe this has affected his brain.”

Dejitade said his mother uses stick, cutlass, and knife to beat them. He said it is true that she maltreats them always. He said she does not care. “She would put knife in the fire and use it to cut our body.”

Emmanuel said he is in KG Two, he said his mother used to beat them with cutlass, belts , sticks and knives.

Damilola, 4, said she does not want to live with their mother again. “My mother is wicked”, she kept on repeating the statement.

The landlord of the house, Samuel Soyemi, said the woman (pictured above) was her late mother’s tenant. ” I asked of her husband but she  said  she was no longer with her husband. When I called the husband he said he is no longer interested in their relationship. This woman is weird, she would lock up the children and leave home till evening while they would be crying. She has done like that four times locking the children in the room. She does not cooperate with anybody. It’s  like she has psychological problem .One day  she locked up the children and used  a knife she brought from the fire and  cut their scalps, their  heads  are full of scars. She gave them caps to be wearing and tutored  them to tell whoever asked about their scars that they  were involved in  motor accidents. That is why they wear caps .She baths for them in the room, cooks, wash clothes and defecates in the same room they live.”

When The Nation visited Toyin  at her residence  she was met with a belt in her hand with eyes frowned, possibly she had just finished beating one of the kids. While the last one was on a potty defecating and at the same time eating along with his brothers and sister from same plate!

When asked about  her life, she said she had the eldest child for her husband and later had another for another man but both are not serious men .On the last baby , she denied she is the mother and said the baby belongs to her sister, when asked where the sister lives, she kept quiet and started challenging the reporter on his mission. However, she confessed that she at present has no man in her life as she  had divorced her  first  and  second husband who did not care for her. She added that all the tenants in the house hated her including the landlord , "they all hate me here and do not mind their business. In fact, I suspect it is either the landlord who had wanted me to befriend him and I refused or my former husband who came to report me in your office.”

Her four kids are in a terrible condition as their bodies are full of scars. The head of the first born is full of scars, while their bodies are full of sores and scars as well,  no wonder the  first born wears cap like the  fabled Alade  in Yoruba  folktales who had horn on his head and wear cap always to cover the horn.

Asked why she use to beat the children, she denied and claimed that the belt she was holding was just to discipline them at that moment. She said “the scars on them had been there for long. The first born had all those marks as a result of the beatings he had when he was with my brother in law in Lagos Island.” Asked about the second one with scars and dislocation, she could not say a word but insisted that her enemies had sent the reporter to her.

When the interrogations continued  she confessed that she has been to the Welfare office. She then called a number to inform the woman who spoke with this reporter.

The Welfare Officer spoke with this reporter on phone and confirmed the scars on the children’s bodies and she asked the reporter "has she started bullying the kids again? We once took the custody of the kids.”

Oba Aleeh Idowu Akindele, the Alakute of Akute said the case has been reported to him from the school the children attend. He said ” I have called the landlord to confirm what was happening in the  house and he said it is true. I have instructed them to call the human rights organization to wade into the matter. I don’t believe we can allow the children to still be under the mother’s care. We need to rescue the children.
